STATEMENT OF PURPOSE of the Phi Beta Kappa Association of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area:
The Phi Beta Kappa Society has been committed since 1776 to recognizing and encouraging the pursuit of excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. As an association of members of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, we seek to foster the liberal arts by sponsoring academic scholarships, awards and other programs in our local community of metropolitan Phoenix. We come together for friendship, discussions, lectures and other cultural activities. In our activities, the association seeks to affirm the importance of freedom of inquiry and a love of learning as the guide of life.

About Phi Beta Kappa Key Connections Events
In early September, The Phi Beta Kappa Society will host its third annual Key Connections event series designed to welcome recent Phi Beta Kappa members in over 20 cities across the country. Hosted by Phi Beta Kappa alumni associations, these events will offer recently inducted members a chance to network with their peers and get to know other Phi Beta Kappa members in their community. Local associations provide an opportunity to expand professional connections, take advantage of cultural opportunities, learn about a wide array of topics in engaging and creative ways, and give back through scholarship programs and other activities.
